Amanda is a former print journalist, and an innovative PR professional who uses social media to get the attention of traditional media. She leverages blogs, Twitter, Facebook and video campaigns to build buzz online and off.  Her social approach to public relations has led to sold-out events and traditional placements in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, the Washington Business Journal, Washingtonian Magazine, WJLA, Radio One, NBC4, WUSA and others. Amanda is a writer and frequent commentator and speaker on PR topics; her commentary has been included in Mashable, PRSA Tactics, among other esteemed publications. She has spoken for the National Association of Black Journalists, Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, National Black Public Relations Society among others.

Janna is a New York-based communications professional with an extensive background in public relations and marketing.  Janna advises media personalities, businesses, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations on leveraging online tools to maximize visibility. She has worked with the Guttmacher Institute, AllHipHop.com, Terrie Williams, Rolling Out magazine, Harlem’s ImageNation Film Festival,WBAI 99.5 FM New York and the New York Abortion Access Fund. Janna has a B.A. in Communication from the University of Delaware and an M.S. in Mass Communication from BostonUniversity. In addition to her work as a social media professional, Janna is a blogger for various websites including RH Reality Check and Feministing.
